A physics student fascinated by Nature. Support me to Climb-it for Climate in 2015 with the AYCC.
I am a postgraduate student living in Adelaide and studying physics. For as long as I can remember I have been captivated by the natural world and everything within it. Although a school science project set me on a path that eventually led to choosing to study physical sciences, I still retain a keen interest in environmental issues, of which climate change is of course amongst the foremost of our time. On the rare occasions that some free time is available, my hobbies include sailing, music and catching up with friends.
Why I'm joining Climb-it for Climate in 2015
I have been a supporter of the AYCC since coming across it while in high school, and in the last couple of years have even had the good fortune to be able to do a small amount of volunteering as a part of the fantastic Repower Port Augusta campaign. Having reached the business end of my studies, though, it has been increasingly difficult to find the free time to help out. This trip for me is an opportunity to finally get involved again with a worthwhile cause. By undertaking this challenge I hope to be able to make a real positive difference, both locally and abroad, by raising awareness (and funds) for the AYCC and the impacts of climate change.
