"One's life has value so long as one attributes value to the life of others, by means of love, friendship, indignation and compassion." -- Simone de Beauvoir
Part time student, full time advocate. Support me to Climb-it for Climate in 2015 with the AYCC.
My self-appointed mission in life is to see as much of the world as possible, and to understand as much of the world as I can. I've made some progress on the first part, but not so much on the second. I'm a jack of many trades, a master of none, and I have more books than shelf space. I'm an unapologetic intersectional feminist and tree-hugging leftist.
By day I work in customer service, by night I study and dream about being a famous and influential authoress. Or an international environmental lawyer. Or maybe an astronaut. I have big plans for the future, and I want to make sure that the world in which I'll achieve my dreams is in the best condition possible.
I like cactuses, dogs with floppy ears, and banh mi.
Why I'm joining Climb-it for Climate in 2015
Climate change has the potential to disrupt and destroy not only the delicate natural environments of places such as the Himalayas, but also the communities of people that depend on them. The work done by the AYCC empowers those who will be living in a future marred by the mistakes of the past. I hope that the funds I raise will help at a grass roots level to educate other young people, and allow them to effect the changes necessary to preserve our earth.
